Our Sales List

At Wilmat, we want you to love your animals and be happy you bought them. I am a member of the Empire Alpaca Association which I am happy to say, has developed a code of ethics. While we have a small herd, we strive for excellence. As you may know or are about to find out predicting an alpaca’s color is not always easy! Fortunately, we love the 22+ alpaca colors and shades, so are pleased no matter what color comes along. Recently, there have been a number of black animals born at Wilmat. We currently have three lovely black girls who could add color to your herd. While we try to keep this up to date, there may be last minute changes, so please call. Package deals can be worked out with two of my neighbors; Walnut Valley Alpacas and Full Circle Farm.

A Soft Black!

Color Champion Black Icecapade is producing wonderful off-spring. Wilmat is proud to offer one of his lovely daughters. Magic is a well grown girl with lots of very soft black, crimpy fleece. Her 22 micron and CV at 18 results in fiber with a wonderful hand. Her last breeding to Color Champion American Made Peruvian Sabre (who is producing off-spring with incredible fleece - check him out at the Sunset Ridge website) produced the amazing Strider, a dark fawn with dense, crimpy fleece (see males). She has been rebred to Sabre and is due this summer. She is a wonderful mother with lots of milk. This is a very reasonable price especially given the quality of Sabre’s offspring. ($11,000)

Wilmat’s Blackberry DOB 10/2/2003 #850438 (Black Icecapade X Wilmat’s Zia)

A Black Beauty

A Black Beauty This lovely girl is also a Black Icecapade daughter. She is beautifully conformed, with soft 22 micron fiber, loaded with luster and crimp. As a juvenile she finished third in a large Bay Black full fleece class at the 2004 MAPACA show. At the 2005 North American, she placed second (Judge Jude Anderson) in a large Bay Black full fleece class. She is good-natured and easy to handle. She is an attentive mother with lots of milk. While she would be an excellent addition to any herd, her mothering skills and great disposition make her especially desirable for new breeders. She is bred to Spa Pegasus, a beautiful brown son of multiple Color Champion Powerplay. She is due late Spring. ($15,000)

Wilmat’s Strider DOB 10/24/2007 ARI #30452947

Strider is a striking dark fawn. He is the son of Sunset Ridge’s beautiful male, Sabre. Strider is also the grandson of Black Icecapade. He took at sixth (out of a class of 13) at the 2008 MAPACA. In his remarks, Judge Lavin, commented that this was a strong class and, specially said that Strider had ‘lots of potential”. At the time, Strider was the youngest animal in the class (and almost the youngest in the entire show at 6 months and 2 days). He is a beautiful boy, very well built. He has dense, soft fiber with lovely crimp just like his sire and grandsire. He is offered for sale, but I would to retain a couple of breedings.
