Even if you do not have a farm, it is never to early to start learning about alpacas. In the beginning of my career with alpacas, I remained a townhouse dweller and agisted at Spa Alpacas where I had bought them. In 2003, I moved to the country and become an alpaca farmer!
Alpaca breeders are a friendly group and we want you to be happy with your animals. So I urge to visit farms and look at animals. Sure you can go to an auction and buy, but a farm visit gives you the opportunity without pressure to look and compare and talk to breeders. Look around, check out shows, visit farms and talk to people. I invite you to visit my farm and meet my little herd of lovely huacayas. And also visit my neighbors.
